I figured I would put together a list for you guys of the various distribution companies that distribute music. If anyone has anything to add to this feel free:
- $5 a month + $3 per single/album/ep being submitted. (lowest start-up fee)
- Pays 100% of royalties
- Pays a "Loyalty Royalty" every week
- Pays out itunes royalties 25-45 days after the month in which product sold (much faster than the rest)
- Every 5th submission is free
- Offers an AnR program for labels with multiple artists (includes discounts)
- Time it takes to appear on itunes: 1-4 days
- Cost for a single: Tunecore $9.99/year
- Cost for an album: Tunecore $60/year (if you don't make at least $60 a year you're screwed)
- Pays 2 months after product is sold
- Time it takes to appear on iTunes: up to 2 weeks
- Cost for a single: $9.95
- Cost for an album: $49
- Only pays 91% of royalties (this is how they get more $ out of you)
- Pays 2 months after product is sold
- Time it takes to appear on iTunes: up to 2 weeks (they claim 48 hours)
- DISTRIBUTION ONLY PLAN = $34.95/year
- COMPLETE PLAN = $19.95/month ($239.40/year... YIKES!)
- MAX PLAN = $41.67/month ($500.04/year... YIKES!)
- Pays 2 months after product is sold
- Time it takes to appear on iTunes: up to 2 weeks
- $9.99/single + $5.99/month = $81.87/year... YIKES!
- $19.99/album + $5.99/month = $91.87/year... YIKES!

- Time it takes to appear on iTunes: up to 2 weeks
