A History of Ratchet and Clank

So, I've become a huge fan of the Ratchet and Clank series immediately after getting Ratchet and Clank Future: A Crack In Time for PS3. I then started to research the series as a whole and realized there were a ton of titles released in the series, many on PS2, which I skipped over since, at the time, I was totally burnt out on video games all together. So, to make things less confusing for myself and those interested in picking up this series. Here is a chronological listing of the Ratchet and Clank games!

1. Ratchet and Clank / Nov. 4, 2002 on PS2

At this point the company that created the Ratchet and Clank series, Insomniac Games, decided to experiment and release games where the 2 characters would have their own title. The first was...

4. Ratchet: Deadlocked / Oct. 25, 2005 on PS2

At this point apparently the popularity of the Ratchet and Clank series drove the creators to release more games more frequently. Strangely enough, the popularity of the PSP would force the creators to create games for the PSP, then port them over to the PS2 later...

5. Ratchet and Clank: Size Matters / Feb. 13, 2007 on PSP / Mar. 11, 2008 on PS2

Then it was back to a solo title for Clank...

At this point, with the release of the PS3, the Ratchet and Clank series would get an amazing facelift through use of the PS3's HD video settings and the fact that the games would be on Blu-Ray discs. Thus, the new "Future" series would be born...

Note: There were also 2 games licensed directly by Sony and made available as mobile games for mobile phones but they were side scrolling (games which sucked ass) and really had nothing to do with the 3D series storyline. You can find them on gamespot.com.
