Makell Bird's Childhood

Well, it's been a long time since I dove in on this blog. Life has redirected my attention elsewhere, as it always does. But… I gotta be honest. I miss writing blogs and making mixtapes, the way I was doing circa 2008. I feel as if I get more of myself off, through writing than I do making random statements on video, sometimes.

So, I wanted to get back on here and vent. I have been thinking about the past, a lot, lately. Mainly because 2022 marks several anniversaries and is a curious time in itself:

  • I started my company, ADED.US Music Distribution and Promotions, at the tail end of January 2012. So, 2022 gives me (and my company) bragging rights as we have been in business for 10 years now… and, no, I didn't shut the company down (as promised, at least to myself).
  • June of 2022 will mark 22 years since I graduated high school… that high school being Stockbridge High School in Stockbridge (Georgia) in June of 2020.
  • I realized that I have been an adult longer than I was a child. I was born on August 26 1981 and I reached adulthood, on August 26 1999 (6574 days). Feb. 27, 2022 marks 8221 days since then.
  • I left McDonough Georgia (and Georgia altogether) on July 8 2004… It has been 6443 days since then. – Time in Georgia = 8352 days (8-26-1981 – 7-8-2004)

I have to be honest with you… it feels like such a long time ago but I remember those days as clear as yesterday. So, let's reminisce about the things I distinctively remember from my childhood.
