Movies I Saw More Than Once In Theatres

I've always been perplexed as to why a person would want to see the same movie more than once while it was in theaters. Aside from the fact that it's simply a waste of money, some fans feel compelled to reiterate their geekdom by doing this. Of course the ultra-geek will even go as far as waiting in a long line or camping outside of a theater in support of their obsession. For me however, there have only been 3 movies I've ever seen more than once in a theater. (Click the titles for more info about these movies on

1. Cool World (1992)
I was 10-11 years old and my Uncle, who was living with us at the time, was a projectionist for the local theater in Jonesboro, GA. This means from time-to-time I would get free screenings. As a kid I was highly intrigued by the idea of an adult themed cartoon. Cool World was exactly that, a Cool(er) World than what I was living in at the time. I became entranced by this movie and saw it at least 3 times in that theater, all for free of course. The fact that it also took place in Las Vegas, a city I adored and now live in, didn't hurt.

2. The Jacket (2005)
I was 25, single, bored, and "The Jacket" was the only movie worth seeing at the time. I was pleasantly surprised because the trailer had it posed as a thriller when it was more of a sci-fi love story. I loved it and to this day it is one of my Top 10 fave movies. I saw it at the Sunset Station theater twice.

3. Inception (2010)
This was an awesome movie. I originally saw it alone. Then my wifey wanted to see it with me and I felt it was good enough for another go-round.
